What We Teach

We take seriously our opportunity to teach the word of God. Colossians 1:28-29 says to "teach everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ." And to that end, we (CrossCreek Church Student Ministry) strenuously labor with Christ's energy that works within us. We've developed what we call a "Teaching Blueprint" that takes a unique approach to "when" and "what" we teach students from the Bible. Our Teaching Blueprint answers their biggest life questions at the very moment our students are asking it. We believe having this high level of intentionality and timeliness is what will present all of our students "fully mature in Christ." So, please look below for a detailed look at these developmental phases and how we've harmonized our Christ-centered/Bible focused curriculum with it.

6th Grade

The phase when there’s never enough groceries, too many hormones, and a dramatic kid that needs someone to prove, “who cares.”

THEIR BIGGEST LIFE QUESTION:  Who/what do I like?
OUR ANSWER:   Who/what God likes.
